Meet Our Family

This is us 

Hi, my name is Lety (mom), and today I will introduce you to my family and a bit of the irony of us starting a homestead.

Right behind me is my husband Yhony with my older boys.

 Maury who is the oldest ( today he is 20 and about to finish his Associate Degree in pre engineering) he is the one in the back with the orange logo in the middle of his hoodie.

On the other side of my husband in the back ( with the big 8 in his jacket) is Michael ( 18 years old) , he is my animal lover and the one who can't wait to start College in the fall, he is going into welding.

In the front by me is my son Matias (13years old) he is in 8th grade and about to start High School in our new "town"  where we bought our property, he loves soccer and video games!

Last but not certainly not least  is Ali (15 years old ) she is my sweet girl, the best soccer player I've met and the one struggling with the move the most.

Funny story: We used to visit this farm every year for our "Mother's Day" family pictures. In most pictures I wear sunglasses because I'm deadly allergic to horses and cats, however, I didn't know at the time so I blamed "the wind". Now I "know better", I still go, I just take all my medicines and my rescue inhaler, and EpiPen... you know just in case... gotta love the irony of me wanting a farm, despite my crazy allergies. 

My "other" kids 

My name is Cookie, I'm a Border Collie and I'm 10 years old.

My name is Oso. I'm a Great Pyrenees and I'm 4 Years old. 

Cookie is a leader, she will show "Oso" who he should be mad at, who to bark at and how to look "mean" while she hides between his legs when she picks up a fight. 

Oso is a sweet boy, I call him Baby but he was attacked by a Pit Bull when he was 8 months old, so now he is afraid of every dog so he barks a lot and stresses over dogs being around him. He is super strong and stubborn, he doesn't want to be "liked" by me, he is to busy making sure no one gets close to me. 

This is us today, 02/27/2020 but we plan to add more members to the family this year, a couple of goats, a few rabbits, about a dozen chickens, and maybe just maybe a couple of ducks ( we have a creek and I think they would love it ).
