Vegetable Plants Needed per Person

Vegetable Plants Needed per Person  to feed a family.

So many times I wondered... how much do I need to plant/sow actually feed my family of 6? How much to plant? Is there a magic number?

Is there a "science" out there that tells me exactly how much I need to plant?

What if I plant 10 seeds and I end up with 6 healthy plants?

Well, I found this book that has a very straight to the point quantity of plants per person and I decided to share that "garden nerd math" so maybe I can help you too with this "guidelines".

And here is a FREE PDF with this FREE GUIDE on how many plants per person you need to plant to feed your family and maybe a good way to know how much more you need to can the rest for the winter.

The good part is, the first year will be a "trial period" but hopefully the next spring you will have a better idea of what works and what doesn't, what you enjoyed eating and what you didn't, if you loved that vegetable variety or if it is time to try something new.
