If you already picked your pot or planter, the type of vegetables your growing and potting mix, you now are ready to plant.
HERE ARE 10 SIMPLE STEPS FOR CONTAINER PLANTING
π± You can plant more than one plant in a container so if you choose to do that I added the steps here but if you only have one plant per container then you don't have to worry about the extra work.
1- Place a layer of gravel at the bottom of the container to prevent the drainage holes from clogging and the soil from leaching out.
2- Fill the container 3/4 full with potting soil
3- Place the plants still in their pots on top of the surface and arrange until you like the spot and how it looks.
4- Now place the pots in the ground, make sure you keep them in the same way you want to plant them.
5- Carefully tip your central plant (in the center you put the tallest one) out of its pot, and plant it in the center of the container.
6- Continue to plant, starting with the next tallest and gradually working your way down to the smallest plants.
7- Add extra potting soil until the level of the soil is about 1 inch from the top of the rim.
8- With both hands, gently firm in the plants. Avoid excessive pushing.
9- Stand back and check to see if you are ok with the way they look, you still have time to tweak things around.
10- Water thoroughly.
